RUSSIA (2 GARAGES)
THE ANNUAL URAL FORUM
For the eighth time, the forum showed why it is one of the
largest and most significant events in the industry, bringing
together representatives of spare parts manufacturers,
distributors, owners of retail stores and garages, and
representatives of companies with large truck fleets. The
Ural forum was organized by GROUPAUTO Russia, in
association with COMTRANS.
Forum participants included 76 companies, among which
were manufacturers of spare parts for trucks (such as
Federal-Mogul, Mahle, MANN+HUMMEL, NRF, ZF, febi,
HELLA, TMD Friction and Valeo), as well as owners and
top managers of garages, shops, and companies with
a corporate park from all over Russia, Kazakhstan and
Kyrgyzstan – from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Tver, from Surgut
to Bishkek.
For two days the participants communicated at round table
discussions and in the Expo hall, held individual meetings
and negotiations, discussed issues of interest, shared
experiences, and presented new projects and market
innovations. The forum was opened by managers from
COMTRANS, general director Dmitry Pavlov, commercial
director Marat Yereev, and Sergey Korolev, the vice-president and the exchange of experience. Important strategic issues
of GROUPAUTO Russia.
The new project ‘Truck Assistant’ was presented to the
forum participants. The service is aimed at the unification
of garages throughout Russia and is designed to provide
prompt assistance to drivers on a trip. At the moment, ‘Truck
Assistant’ is the only service with its range of services and
geography in the truck market.

The day ended with presentations from representatives
of Federal-Mogul, Mahle, MANN+HUMMEL and Valeo.
Within the framework of their presentations, the speakers
talked about production features, new products in the range,
and developments and trends in the industry.
The whole of the forum’s second day was devoted to work
at the round table discussions. This form of communication
allowed the establishment of closer contact between market
players. Each participant was given the opportunity to get
answers to their questions first-hand, and representatives of
manufacturers to get feedback from those who sell, install,
and operate their products.
And by tradition, the most pleasant element of the official
part of the Ural forum was the awards ceremony, at which
participants of the TRUCK-LDC Association marketing
program were awarded with the ‘Steel Wrench’ awards.
GROUPAUTO Russia received an award in the «Partnership
is the key to success» category.
The eighth Ural forum showed why, for many participants, it
has become an important place for meetings, negotiations,
of business are solved and a roadmap for the development
of the market is created. That is why the Ural forum can
certainly be called one of the most significant, engaging, and
effective events on the Russian aftermarket.
