ACCOMMODATION THE TRADITIONAL
PLANT GARDEN
DINING lets you see the best of
perennials! The garden,
SHOPPING AND established in 1995 by the
SERVICES Saarijärvi Friends of Nature, is
home to such traditional plants
MAPS AND INFO as redleaf rose, mountain
cornflower, horseradish, and
many others. The purpose of the
garden is to act as a local plant
genome bank.
THE SCULPTURE PARK
presenting sculptures by
artists living and born in Saarijärvi.
Including works by e.g. Kain
Tapper, Frans Toikkanen, Hannes
Autere, Arvo Siikamäki, and
Harald Karstén. Exhibits on the
yard of the museum can be
viewed independently.
THE SHORE MEADOW
looks after the adorable little
Veräjäaho farm lambs living in
the area in the summer.
THE MUSEUM CAFÉ
is extended out to the terrace
in the summer. The café shop
offers local knowledge, art
publications, and timeless gifts.
