THINGS TO DO PYHÄ-HÄKKI NATIONAL PARK

ACCOMMODATION Enter the wild to find peace, go hiking in an unique environment!

DINING Pyhä-Häkki lets you experience the wind in pine trees that are hundreds of years old, the
song of the flowing water in brooks, and the scent of the bog. The Riihineva trail (1.4 km) and
the Mastomäki trail (3.5 km) are particularly suited for families with children. The most popular
route, the Kotajärvi trail (6.5 km), runs around the entire park from wild woods to duckboards.
The Tulijärvi trail (17 km) is best for those looking for a longer hike. All routes have been marked
on site with dedicated colour symbols.

There is a cooking shelter by Kotajärvi with a masonry fireplace and a separate fire pit. You
can get drinking water from the well at the information centre.

The national park allows temporary camping, which is recommended at the Tulijärvi shelter
situated very close to the park. The Poika-aho cabin houses sheep herder vacationers in the
summer, and in the spring and autumn the cabin is available for single night rentals.

Guided hikes and other services are available from the national park partners, see more
