Construction applications and waterproofing

DantoCon Seal N can be used as waterproofing along
the outside of basements, where it will form a watertight
natural membrane when exposed to moisture. Laid
and compressed along the casting edge, it will also
form a secure water seal.

For protection against rising groundwater under roads
and structures, DantoCon Seal N can be mixed with stone
dust and laid in a 30-40 cm thick layer. This results in
a stable BES (Bentonite Enhanced Soil) membrane with
low permeability. The same type of membrane can also
be used where protection against infiltration is desired
– for example, in connection with the establishment
of parking lots and roads in water extraction areas,
as a bottom and top membrane when establishing
landfills and storage sites, and in membranes around
pipe trenches.
