For identification the following information is needed: ID-number, Year of production, Engine type, Model designation.
ID-number
VW is identified by engine type. Information is located in the following 3 places:
1) Engine block
2) Left side in cabin by the fuse box
3) In the service book
In certain cases a chassis number may be needed. This is placed between front screen and the bonnet or in the front
wheel arch.
