Coil Springs
Coil springs support a vehicles weight and compress to absorb the impact of
any bumps or jolts in the road surface. Coil springs also maintain the correct
ride height of the vehicle.
When should coil
springs be replaced?
It is recommended that coil
springs are checked annually to
determine their condition and
they should be changed after
80,000km. Worn springs will begin
to compromise the safety of the
vehicle, contributing to longer
braking distances, reduced road
holding ability, increased tyre wear
and less responsive steering.
Why replace coil springs?
Maintain comfort, performance and safety.
Correct steering geometry.
Correct vehicle ride height.
Reduce deterioration of shock absorbers.
! Coil springs should always
be replaced in pairs.
