Widening Lateral Grooves

Wet braking performance is improved by optimising lateral
shoulder grooves which secure voids when braking or under
heavy loads, expanding the contact patch. Additionally,
tie-bars applied to the shoulder blocks create a closed
structure that reduces noise in regular driving conditions.

Superior Transverse Drainage

The high-performance drainage design controls block deformation to improve contact with the road.
Safer wet road driving is achieved by minimising tyre contact gaps caused by concave deformation
for 7% improved wet braking and 4% improved wet handling over the previous model.
