The City of Saarijärvi has plenty of plots on offer for those looking to build their
own house. Our naturally beautiful lake landscapes offer pleasant surroundings
for the whole family! There are housing plots in the city centre, in the vibrant
villages, and at the housing area zoned by the shore of the Summasjärvi lake.
Most recently, the city of Saarijärvi has opened the new, pleasant Lumperon-
harju residential area close to the city center. The area offers easy and short
connections both to the downtown services and to the specialty shops along
the highway.

One of the most appealing housing areas is in Kotiniemi by the shore of lake
Summasjärvi. The area features building plots with private beaches in a peace-
ful rural landscape. The sizeable plots, some with private beaches, are located
next to good traffic connections five kilometres from the city centre. Our diverse
services are close by, as are several recreational trails.
