Taitokeskus is a house full of diverse handicrafts.
THINGS TO DO
The shop includes products from Finnish handicraft entrepreneurs - including Wilawood,
Hunanikkarit and Leena Aijasaho - and a diverse selection of materials. Taitokeskus offers
weaving opportunities throughout the year; short courses are organised during the wor-
king season. An Art primary education handicraft school also operates at Taitokeskus;
groups are organised for children and adults. Art and handicraft exhibitions are arranged
at Vinttigalleria Gallery during the summer season. Taitokeskus is located in the centre of
Saarijärvi on the Palavasalmi shore, in the cultural surroundings of Sofianranta. Sofianran-
ta’s culture-historically valuable area belongs to Saarijärvi cultural route’s destinations.
