It’s nice to try new things when on holiday. How would you like
tennis, or maybe snowshoe hiking?

Saarijärven Latu rents canoes and kayaks with all necessary safety equipment (life vests,
paddles, backup paddle for rapids, kayak covers, watertight barrels, rapid helmets, and
canoe trailers). The association also rents out some snowshoes, touring skates, and other
hiking supplies.

Longboat rowing on Tuesday evenings in the summer, free of charge. 150 € for groups,

SAARIJÄRVI CITY LIBRARY SHOPPING AND
SERVICES
With a library card, you can also borrow sports equipment.

At Saarijärvi City Library, with your library card, you can borrow various sports equipment
such as Mölkky, basketball, beach volleyball, petanque, scooter, SUP board, snowshoes,
trekking skates, and tennis rackets. In the summer, there’s a free tennis court available
inside the ice hall at Valotie 5.

You can also borrow frisbee golf equipment and underwater binoculars with your library MAPS AND INFO
card, allowing you to explore the underwater world, including bottom plants, shells, and
other aquatic creatures. With quiet movements, you might even spot fish in the shoreline
waters!
