Metal expansion joints
Our metal expansion joints are made to measure in line with our customers’
needs. Subjected to meticulous testing, the metal expansion joints can be used to
compensate for thermal expansion and mechanical vibration and to reduce noise in
piping systems. Their applications include district heating and process industry pipe-
lines, shipbuilding and power plants.
Structure: The bellow elements and end fittings, flanges, tie rods, inner tubes,
or other accessories are designed according to customer requirements.
Bellow element: Multi-layer structure from 0.3 – 0.6 mm thick sheets. The material is austenitic
stainless steel grades 1.4301, 1.4404, or 1.4541. For more demanding corrosion
environments, materials such as 1.4547 (254SMO), 1.4539 (904L), and 1.4462
(duplex) are available, while for higher temperature applications, 1.4828 and
1.4835 (253MA) are used.
Ends: Flanges or weld ends depending on customer requirements and design
specifications.
Inner tubes: One- or two-part design, depending on requirements.
Sizes: DN32 – DN4000
Pressure tolerance: Depends on the diameter and design temperature, please contact our
design or sales team.
Temperature tolerance: -270 °C ... +900 °C
